Over 200 people gathered outside the Holocaust Memorial in Farmington Hills, Michigan on August 20 to demand an end to the mistreatment of immigrants by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Trump administration. Organized by the Close the Camps Coalition demonstrators held many homemade signs and banners. Many at the rally were elderly Jewish people, some of who were survivors of the Nazi holocaust or children of survivors who felt compelled to speak out against today’s concentration camps on the U.S. border.

About 50 counter-demonstrators gathered just down the street including over a dozen “Proud Boys” an openly fascist organization.
