These photographs were taken on Thurs. Oct. 24, 2019 surrounding the 6th Circuit United States Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio hearing on a landmark civil rights case involving whether the 14th Amendment of the Constitution guarantees literacy for students.

Gary B, et.al. v. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan State Board of Education centers around the conditions prevailing in the Detroit school system and has implications for African American and other students throughout the state of Michigan, and indeed, nationally.

Members of Keep the Vote No Takeover, the National Action Network Detroit chapter, the Moratorium NOW! Coalition,  and Detroit students, among others were a part of the delegation.
