These photographs were taken on Mon. Feb. 17, 2020 in downtown Detroit on Jefferson Ave. right outside the Canadian Consulate located at Renaissance Center.

The demonstration was called in solidarity with the First Nation people of Wet’suwet’en in British Columbia who are waging a protracted struggle against the construction of a natural gas pipeline across their lands. People gathered at 3:30pm and later marched one block to the entrance and exit of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.
