These photographs were taken at the Detroit Annual Labor Day Parade on Mon. Sept. 2, 2019.
Thousands gathered from all of the major trade unions marching down Michigan Avenue.
Members of the Moratorium NOW! Coalition and supporters held down the stepping off corner of Michigan and Trumbull setting up a literature table where shirts in support of immigrant workers and palm cards announcing a Mon. Sept. 9 public forum were distributed to thousands of organized workers.
Moratorium NOW! Coalition spokespersons and friends brought the message of “No Borders in the Workers Struggle.” This slogan emphasizes the support for immigrant rights and international solidarity.
