There were demonstrations for two consecutive nights beginning at St. Hedwig Park located in the area near Junction and Michigan Avenue in Detroit.
Incidents of police brutality were reported to organizers from Detroit Will Breathe (DWB) which called for a series of mobilizations in the neighborhood.
A rally was held on Sat. Oct. 10, 2020 in the park and then later crowds marched through the community chanting slogans against law-enforcement misconduct along with distributing literature on anti-racist and housing struggles in the city.
DWB activists and their allies took the streets for nearly two hours.
One of the victims of the police attacks was present at the rally and demonstration on Oct. 10.
