On Saturday, October 28, 2023 thousands of people filled the streets of downtown Detroit in defense of Palestine and in opposition to the siege of Gaza.

More than 40 organizations endorsed the action which gathered at Hart Plaza for a rally and later marched through the downtown streets.

The manifestation joined millions of others around the world from Australia, New Zealand throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America.

Some of the organizations involved in the demonstration were New Generation for Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace, Students for Justice in Palestine, Moratorium NOW! Coalition, among many others.

The speakers at the rally condemned United States President Joe Biden for sending billions of dollars to Israel facilitating the genocide in Gaza and throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Participants called upon the Senate and House of Representatives to deny any funding for the policies of the Israeli state.
