A spirited protest was held on July 16, 2025 at Hudson’s Detroit in downtown Detroit where the 2nd Industrialize Conference was taking place. Conference participants included representatives from many of the leading U.S. hi-tech corporate entities such as Palantir as well as the traditional industrial corporations, investment funds and the U.S. military. The protest was led by Engineers Against Genocide and the Palestinian Youth Movement and included many groups standing in solidarity with Palestine. Protesters demanded that the participating corporations, Palantir in particular, cease their collaboration with the zionist entity. Presently, many of theses corporations provide support and the latest weapons to the idf as they mercilessly commit genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. These corporations and the U.S military test and refine their technologies of death and destruction on the Palestinian people.
The first Industrialize Conference took place in Detroit in June 2024 while Biden was in office. The U.S. ruling class is attempting to re-industrialize the U.S. economy as is prepares for a war against China, as well as Russia and Iran. It now recognizes that Wall Street’s relentless pursuit of profits over the past fifty years led to the offshoring of many industries. An earlier attempt at re-industrializing the U.S. occurred in 2009 in Detroit. Called the “National Business Summit”, it’s purpose was “to define America’s future”. The organizers called on other corporate giants to “Make your voice heard–stand up for your country, your company, and your future!”. The National Business Summit was opposed by the People’s Summit encampment which was held in Grand Circus Park and initiated by the Moratorium NOW! Coalition.
