The Myth of Israel’s Victory

“(…) And Ben Gvir climbed on one of our boats where the aid had been thrown overboard by the Israeli Navy and said to the cameras: ‘ Look : No aid here. Just signs of one big party’ “
GSF testimony, October 2025

the zionist script writers
repeat over and over again
with boring histrionics
and tear-teasing theatrics
that they claim their right
to self-defense

but with their photo ops
they do protest too much –
who are they trying to convince?

they are simply
and fearfully
on the defensive
because
Israel has lost

the zionist entity has lost
the capacity for an ancestral People’s recognition
the capacity to renounce genocide
the capacity to think of Gaza
as part of a free Palestine

they have lost
on a battlefield
of their own genocidal creation
and
in the hearts of the world

for all their US ammunition
and AI drones
they have lost
faced with a People
armed
with Sumud
and sticks and stones

they have lost
in the highest courts
of international law
and
in the docks of History

they have lost
in the eyes
of their own descendents
who will study them
in school

they have lost
when they look away from
their mirrored reflection
and
would rather
accuse us
of being those obsessed
with selfies and partying
because
they will soon have to explain
the Epsteins
and the footage of their soldiers
dancing and reveling
next to
the real victims
they laughingly massacred
in the smoking ruins

Blackfaced Hands

Remembering the anti-People crimes of former Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, former Vice President to the US, Kamala Harris and Pennsylvania Appeals Judge, Lucretia Clemons
Linda’s
was the only hand
at the Security Council
vetoing
over and over again
an end to the genocide
starving
thousands of children
in Gaza

Linda will be haunted
by the
complicit power
of her Black hand
with a sinking Empire

Kamala’s
was a US Vice President’s hand
refusing
to sign
for the end to the genocide

her book to the contrary
Kamala will be haunted
by the complicit power
of her Black hand
with a sinking Empire

Lucretia’s
was the only hand
that wielded the gavel
that sent Mumia Abu-Jamal
back
to death by incarceration

even though she lost
a member of her family
to white terror
Lucretia will be haunted
by the complicit power
of her Black hand
with a sinking Empire

why have Black hands
if it is not to build
Black Power?

Neo-Colonialism – the Last Stage of Genocide

many ask
what Trump has invested
in the “Peace” Plan
beyond a dream
for a Nobel Prize he failed to obtain
beyond the smokescreen
that suddenly he cares
beyond the pretense
that he is a great president

many remember back
to our collective struggle
against Apartheid in South Africa
when the colonizing front
divided into two opposing forces :
the extremist far right Boer settlers
who were for wiping away
each Bantustan
down to the last man –
and the CEOs
of De Beers and Oppenheimers
who objected
that if the genocide were completed
there would be no slave-workers
to exploit in the mines
yielding their precious metals

the neo-colonialism
of the company billionaires won
both back then
and today
under the cover of Trump’s Peace Plan

The National Association of American Realtors
allied with Kushner and Blair
and the likes of DiCaprio
would usher in the blueprints
of the Real Estate moguls
the casinos and the luxury hotels
that will require workers
to be paid no more than human animals

both in Palestine
and in the belly of the beast
imperial gentrification
is the motivation –
the agenda is the same
the companies have hardly changed name

Have you looked into Netanyahu’s eyes?

and
driven to beach themselves
as the whales we all are
the People of Gaza
are now banned
from entering their own sea
or they must pay
the death penalty
just for taking a gulp
of Hope’s spray

From my poem ” Rivers cannot be cried here”, July 1, 2025

anonymous freedom-sailors
on a Flotilla boat
saved
a sea turtle
from a net of plastic –
an everyday act
they did not brag about
nor did it go viral

but the Israeli Foreign Ministry
is trying to claim
that the starving people of Gaza
savagely butchered
a stranded whale
when the zionist myth spinners knew
the creature
was a whale shark,
a fish they had already sighted
offshore Ashdod

the dead whale shark
washed ashore Gaza
to the joy
of a famished population

by the way
thanks to an ad hoc cruel new law
how many Gazans
did Israel savagely butcher
as they simply tried to fish
in their native waters?

by the way
does the Israeli solicitude for endangered species
extend
to the “human animals”
they have endangered
with their genocide?

by the way
have you looked into Netanyahu’s eyes?

have you seen there
the empty
cold dead stare
of the shark
craving yet another serial killer
spree?

Instructions to Palestinian hostages before release – a satire

don’t smile
don’t say cheese
(cheese is a delicacy
not for you anyway)
don’t assemble
don’t celebrate
don’t speak to Hamas disguised
as press
don’t share your fairytales
about torture
don’t love
(its too rowdy)
don’t take selfies
(selfies are trophies
only we have a right to)
don’t loiter
don’t jay walk on your own land
go home to your rubble
go home to exile
we are watching you,
says Netanyahu

Poetry after Gaza

Thanking Gabor Mate for his reflections on what to do with our broken hearts – and thanking Susan Abulhawa for highlighting the notion of “moral injury” created worldwide by the genocide in Palestine.

one of the readers
of a poem i wrote
about the horror
of the return of the Palestinian hostages
commented succinctly:
begins to capture it

the question remains,
how can we finish to capture
the horror
when it is beyond words –
and the mic
to express it
is in all humility
not ours?

the question remains,
is it even the role of the poet
to “capture”
another people’s ordeal
with the words
of the master?

the question remains,
is not the moral injury
Gabor Mate
says the world is afflicted with
as we are universally wounded
by the genocide in Gaza –
is not that moral injury
in part
the impossibility for our broken-hearted poetry
to impart the whole horror
with the granite of words?

the question remains,
should not the goalposts of language
be forever changed
as most words are under the radar of reality
and being “poetic”
cannot redeem them?

the question remains,
are not many words
most sacred
now wounded
and even amputated?

the question remains,
what is the prognosis
for those blood-drained words ?

the freedomless child
inside me
knows
at what risk
the rock of silence is broken
and
i painstakingly work on a glossary
based on the ecology
of the endangered vocabulary
i can still use
without betrayal

if i tried to poetically
dot the i’s for each act of inhumanity
and cross the t’s for each form of torture
if i tried to perfect the literary capture
of the horror in Gaza
if i vicariously believed
the devil is in each detail artistically reproduced,
would i be
an ancestorless child
staring into an abyss –
a mirror
where i too would become a monster
throwing away
the flaws of humility,
the hearts collectively broken of our humanity
for the circling capitalists
to feast on ?
