Thousands gathered in Grand Circus Park in downtown Detroit on Saturday, March 28, 2026 to demonstrate their outrage against the domestic and foreign policies of the administration of President Donald Trump.
A series of community speakers addressed the continuing crises which grows worse every week.
Many set up literature tables to promote their various political and cultural projects. Most of the signs were homemade which addressed the issues of war and peace; criminal activity in the White House; the authoritarian rule and emerging fascism in the United States; among other pertinent issues.
Later in the day, the crowd marched north on Woodward Avenue, the main street in the city, to Midtown and then returned to the point of departure.
This mobilization encompassing urban, suburban and smalltown areas was spread out across the state of Michigan.
Collectively on a national level, it was estimated that 8 million people participated in this latest manifestation against Trump and his program.
