The event was held at the Detroit Repertory Theater located on the west side of the city on Thursday. Feb. 6, 2020.

At the gathering the featured play was “The Puppeteer” written by Desiree York. The production was focused on inter-generational questions of race, gender, culture and class within United States society.

The event was held by, and in support of, the organizations working out of Moratorium NOW! Coalition offices in Midtown in honor of African American History Month.

Many Moratorium NOW! Coalition members, friends and supporters were in attendance. The activity is designed as both a fundraiser and highlighter of Detroit-based cultural institutions.
