All Out December 17 to Support Wisconsin Strikers

UAW Local 180 in Racine on the picket lines over 6 months

By Solidarity Appeal

Hello fellow workers,

Greetings.

We’re writing with an urgent appeal regarding the UAW 180 strikers at CNHi – Case Holland – in Racine (UAW 807 is also on strike at CNHi in Burlington, IA). They’ve been on strike now for 6 1/2 months and are now facing winter. We are planning a Solidarity Day for December 17 and that will be used to gather concrete assistance as well but the workers need help now.

The big ask for those that want to help is the strikers need help with gift cards for gas. $20 gift cards are suggested or whatever supporters can do. It’d be great if a local could take up collections for this, wrap up the gift cards and send them directly to UAW Local 180 with a note that they are for gas for the strikers. Community organizations can do this too. If you can take a photo with signs from your union/community organization that declare support for UAW 180 members before sending the gift cards and sharing via social media that’d be great. Maybe even a photo with the union postal workers before mailing at the post office!

If a union or community organization wants to make a monetary donation they should write out a check or money order or cashier’s check to “UAW Local 180.”

If at this time you’re not able to send any monetary donations or cards please share this information to your labor and community contacts.

Below is the December 17 flyer. Please share far and wide.

Take care.
