Federal government workers have been a major target of the current administration. President Donald Trump has established an illegal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which is carrying out a campaign of vilification, harassment, cutbacks, lay-offs and restructuring, causing immeasurable harm to millions in the United States.

AFGE and their community supporters held a demonstration at the McNamara Federal Bldg. on Michigan Avenue in downtown Detroit on Friday, April 4, 2025.

Thousands of workers have been removed from their jobs at the aegis of billionaire Elon Musk who has given a definition of governance which is quite similar to former Italian fascist leader Benito Mussolini.

Government and postal workers have held demonstrations across the country over the last few weeks demanding justice from the administration.
